Digging for Tier One Quality Microcaps
Interview with Maj Soueidan, Founder and Editor of GeoInvesting.com
As many of you know, I have started to focus more on the smallest part of the US equity markets: microcaps. One of the best aspects of having my own podcast is that I get to choose who I interview and then learn from them. With that as a backdrop, I am excited to share this interview with Maj Soueidan of Geoinvesting, a guy who has been investing in microcaps and nanocaps for over 30 years. In our discussion, we covered:
· Why it has been so tough to be a microcap investor in recent years;
· What he looks for when he is assessing management teams;
· His approach to portfolio construction, especially given the illiquid nature of many microcap stocks;
· What most people misunderstand about microcaps; and
· The opportunities available in Canadian microcaps.

When I tell people that there are most definitely quality companies in microcap land, it generates a fair amount of skepticism. There is a stigma against microcaps that I believe leads to an evergreen opportunity to generate high returns. So, I asked Maj about how he finds quality in the microcap space.
My podcast partner, Bobby Kraft, and I are busy getting through a rather long backlog of fun and insightful interviews. Please stay tuned for the next episode of Compounders.
Have a good weekend,
Ben
Such a great chat! Always fun to hear Maj.
